OK, spent 5 days here in Bellingham WA. waiting for bording day to get on Ferry on the 23rd. Got email from Ferry folks that told me that due to mechanical issues the Ferry run from Bellingham to Haines AK. was canceled! Wow, this hit me hard. After plannning for months, canceled just like that. So,, after very much thought, tossing and turning last night, I’ve decided to just Drive it. Yea, the whole Alcan hwy! According to Google Maps, close to 2000mi. So,,,, here I go. Tomorrow, 23rd, I will drive to border of Canada, twenty minutes away, hoping they won’t find something that will keep me from crossing.

I haven’t been in Canada since I was 9 or 10 yrs of age when Mom got us from Dallas TX. to Alaska. I remember the road being pretty bad back then. Lately hear that roads are a Lot better, I hope so.Yes, I’m stressed. I’m hoping I can relax once I get into Canada.

Not sure how much internet connection I will have, so expect a blackout period durning the next 5 or so days.
